Job Purpose
This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging infrastructure projects within a collaborative engineering environment, with strong support for professional development and progression towards ICE Chartership.
As a Civil Engineer, you will be involved in the delivery of heavy civil infrastructure design work across a range of complex projects. You will prepare civil engineering designs, drawings and calculations, and contribute to the production of technical reports, specifications and documentation.
You will also undertake engineering assessments, feasibility studies and design analysis, while supporting site inspections and providing technical input throughout project delivery. Working closely with multidisciplinary design and project teams, you will help ensure designs are delivered to a high standard and in line with relevant industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare civil engineering designs, drawings and calculations.
- Design pavements, drainage networks and associated infrastructure.
- Produce engineering reports, specifications and technical documentation.
- Undertake engineering assessments, feasibility studies and design analysis.
- Support site inspections and provide technical support during project delivery.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary design and project teams.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling and programme delivery.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and best practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Civil Engineering.
- Approximately 5–10 years’ post-graduate experience.
- Experience working on heavy civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience producing engineering calculations, reports and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
