Role Purpose

We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic senior leader to help shape the future of children’s social care in the West Midlands. This is a unique opportunity to lead large, passionate teams through an exciting phase of transformation. You will strengthen and embed the authorities' Family Safeguarding model, improve outcomes through joined up pathways, and provide confident senior oversight of practice both in hours and through participation in the out of hours leadership rota.

Your new role

  • Integration of Family Help, Family Safeguarding and Adolescent Safeguarding services.
  • Transition to a locality model with accessible, place based support.
  • High quality, strengths based and trauma informed practice.
  • Performance, quality assurance and inspection readiness.
  • Strong partnerships with Early Help, Police, Health, Education and community services.

What you will need to succeed

  • A senior leader with:
  • Significant leadership experience in children’s social care.
  • Strong expertise in safeguarding and risk management.
  • A passion for early intervention and relational practice.
  • Commitment to innovation, transformation and workforce stability.
