PAYE: £41.90 per hour Limited/Umbrella: £55.00 per hour
Role Purpose
An interim Senior Property Lawyer is needed to be the main Legal Resource on the Council's programme of disposal of Council Property Assets. The Project involves the disposal of various Council assets over the next 12 – 18 months potentially including disposals subject to occupational leases or disposals where advice on securing vacant possession, may be required.
Working primarily remotely but must be able to attend the office if needed.
Your new role
You will need to be able to work as part of the Property Law Team, reporting to the Council’s, Senior Commercial Property Solicitor and work closely with other Council officers from other Departments to deliver the project, notably the Assets Transformation Lead - Commercial Property.
What you will need to succeed
- Drafting bespoke property contracts;
- Knowledge of restrictions and restrictive covenants;
- Drafting TP1s and TR1s;
- Knowledge of easements and rights of way;
- Dealing with purchasers due diligence enquiries; and
- Ability to negotiate and take instructions.
- You will need at least 5 years PQE in Commercial Property.
- No previous local Government experience is necessary but would be an advantage.
